Kicks 96-


    Kicks 96 is Richmond's local country station, based right in the city. It services Wayne County and some parts of Dayton. It operates in the same building as WHON. Kicks has won numerous state-wide awards for “Best Morning Show” and “Breaking News”. They have several in-house DJs. Many are popular in the community, like Angie and the “Buddha”. Late-at-night, the station usually runs on automation. The GM is Dave Stryker.  

     930 WHON is Richmond's home of talk radio. Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Richmond's own Troy Derengowski can be heard on this AM station. They target middle-aged conservative listeners, which make up a large majority of Richmond's population. WHON also broadcasts Richmond High School football and basketball. The station has won awards statewide for “Best Sports Play-by-Play”. The GM is Dave Stryker.

       Located on the outskirts of Richmond, G101.3 plays a lot of rock and pop music. They're tag-line is “Generation G”. The station makes itself unique by hosting a live-blog for listeners with discussions and forums. It operates like the typical radio station, with Djs in the day, news updates and weather, and automation late at night.  

     Hot 102.9 is a Hip-Hop and R&B station based in Dayton, Ohio. It reaches Richmond's airwaves and is the only hip-hop format station available to the city. The Partyman is the station's most popular DJ. He works the 7pm time slot. The station also plays host to The Russ Parr Morning Show, which is widely popular in a number of markets. It is a Radio One station.
